    James Shillington is a seasoned financial markets professional with widespread fixed income experience. Formerly a professional rugby league player with the Sydney Roosters, James retired at 22 and began his financial markets career at FIIG Securities advancing to Head of Institutional and Middle Market Sales. James commenced as Executive Manager - Fixed Income at MINT Partners Australia in 2016.

    Justin McFarland has over 25 years of financial markets experience and is a mainstay of the Australian fixed income market. Justin has held various fixed income sales roles at Westpac, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Longreach Capital Markets and most recently as Head of Middle Markets Sales at FIIG Securities. In 2016 he commenced as Executive Manager - Fixed Income at MINT Partners Australia.

    Tim Smith is a finance professional with extensive experience across fixed income and short term money markets. Tim previously held roles at Commonwealth Bank of Australia and JP Morgan before moving to FIIG Securities in 2009, where he progressed to Associate Director - Fixed Income Sales. In that role Tim serviced a portfolio of high profile ASX 200 corporates, fund managers and middle market clients. In 2016 Tim took the position of Executive Manager - Fixed Income at MINT Partners Australia.

    David Moore

    Executive Manager - Fixed Income (Brisbane)

    David Moore is a fixed income specialist and has worked in debt markets for over 20 years on both the buy and sell side. David commenced his career with Westpac Financial Markets in 1995 and in 2001 moved to Flight Centre as Global Treasurer. In 2005 David accepted an opportunity at FIIG Securities and worked in various sales and leadership roles over the next 10 years, including National Head of Fixed Income Sales. In 2016 David moved to MINT Partners Australia as Executive Manager - Fixed Income.

    Ryan Poth

    Head of Portfolio Strategy (Brisbane)

    Ryan Poth has nearly 30 years of fixed income experience, having worked in a broad variety of roles specific to this unique asset class. Ryan began his career in 1987 creating mathematical models and developing software for fixed income dealers, before moving into proprietary trading roles at Union Bank of Switzerland and Cargill Financial Services. Relocating to Brisbane in 2000, Ryan worked for QIC before joining FIIG Securities in 2005, where he worked for 10 years in various roles, including portfolio management, technology, financial modeling and fixed income sales. In 2016, Ryan commenced as Head of Portfolio Strategy at MINT Partners Australia.

    Justin McCarthy

    Head of Research

    Justin McCarthy is one of Australia’s leading credit research analysts, with over 25 years of financial markets experience. Justin commenced his career in 1992 at Ferrier Hodgson in Melbourne. After being admitted as a Chartered Accountant in 1997 he moved to Hong Kong and took a role as Credit Manager at National Australia Bank. Subsequent roles included Credit Manager at Credit Suisse First Boston (London) and Head of Credit, Asia for AllianceBernstein (Melbourne). In 2007 Justin moved to FIIG Securities in Brisbane as Head of Research and established the research and education functions. In 2016, Justin commenced as Head of Research at MINT Partners Australia.

    Matt Moffat

    Executive Manager – Fixed Income (Singapore)

    Matt Moffat has 23 years of financial markets experience across various roles in London, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Mumbai with the last eight years spend in Singapore and Sydney. Matt commenced his career at Cantor Fitzgerald, and has worked in a number of Fixed Income firms before joining MINT Partners in 2013. Matt held numerous posts including MD + Head of Asia at Creditex Inc. and Director and Co-Head International Sales at FIIG Securities. Currently based in Singapore, Matt services Asian/European clients and markets, integrating liquidity directly into MINT Partners Australia.
